It’s that time of year again! Holiday season is upon us and what says holiday cheer more than festive décor? Here’s a few inexpensive ideas that you can do yourself, and will surely leave a lasting impression on your friends and family.
Thankful Banner
This banner is so easy to make. Simply print out the word “Thankful” with every letter on a different piece of paper, cut the paper into a ribbon shape, punch hole the top, and stick a thick piece of yarn through to hang. This idea can be made in no time and looks like you bought it from the store!
Apple candles
Ditch the fake scented candles for the real thing! Simply cut a hole in the top of an apple and stick your tea tree candle inside of it to have your whole home smell of apples. You can do this with other fruit such as: oranges, lemons, limes, etc. This is a project I would be sure to do the day that you want to burn the candles so the apple doesn’t go bad.
Kraft paper table cloth
This minimalistic look does wonders for the table setting! You can find rolls of craft paper and white paint at any craft store and this design takes little to no time to create!
Tableplace setting
Use elements of nature to help you out this holiday season. Grab some of your favorite leaves that have fallen, paint them gold, and write your guests names on them. This is such a unique, yet, inexpensive way to decorate and utilize nature.
Pumpkin centerpiece
You can’t have a real thanksgiving without pumpkins everywhere! Why not use one as a centerpiece for your dinner table, too? Simply cut off the top of your pumpkin, clean it out, find a beautiful orange/red bouquet of flowers to stick in the top, and voila! You have a beautiful centerpiece.
Pumpkins can be menus too!
There’s no way to use too many pumpkins while decorating for Thanksgiving. Easily display your dinner menu in a creative way by painting your pumpkin and writing on it after the paint dries.
Make your own wreath
DIY wreaths have been a huge trend for years now. Show off your creativity! Hop on the wagon and create your own. There are so many ways to get creative with these. You can use anything from flowers to toys to create your own.
Silverware setting
Along with wreaths, there is a plethora of ways to display your silverware at the dinner table. You can be minimalistic or decorative with however you want to take it. Either way, this thoughtfulness on this detail will be appreciated by your guests.
Have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving everyone!
